Karl F. Sherry, founding partner of the firm has personally negotiated the sale and lease of millions of square feet of space since forming Hayes & Sherry Real Estate Services in 1990. As exclusive representative for several Fortune 500 companies, Karl includes Konica, USI, UBS, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI, University Medicine, New York Life, Ernst & Young, Textron, Delta Dental of Rhode Island and Narragansett Bay Insurance Company among his clients.
Prior to forming Hayes & Sherry Real Estate Services, Karl had an extensive experience in sales originally with the Campbell Soup Company and later as a National Sales Manager with the A.T. Cross Company.
Recent lease transactions include: University Medicine in East Providence, 72,000 square feet; Edwards Wildman, LLP in Providence, 78,000 square feet; Partridge Snow & Hahn in Providence, 30,000 square feet; Delta Dental of Rhode Island, 31,000 square feet; Adler Pollock & Sheehan in Providence, 46,000 square feet; Narragansett Bay Insurance Company, 30,000 square feet; Merrill Lynch, 19,000 square feet; Nortek, 30,000 square feet; and Ernst & Young, 12,000 square feet.
Karl’s sales transactions include the $13.5 million sale of 475 Kilvert Street in Warwick; $17.75 million sale of Turks Head Building in Providence, $7.75 million sale of 170 Westminster Street in Providence; $6 million sale of 10 Charles Street in Providence; $6.25 million sale of 745 Jefferson Boulevard (Leviton Property) in Warwick; and the $6.5 million sale of the Colonial Crossing Shopping Center in Cumberland.
Karl is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He is Chair of the Board of Directors of Blackstone Health, Inc.; a former Chair of the Board of Directors of Delta Dental of Rhode Island and the Altus Group, Inc.; a member of the Board of Directors of the Pawtucket Boys & Girls Club; a former Chair of The Memorial Hospital Foundation; a member of the Rhode Island Commodores; a member of the Board of Directors of In-Sight and a Director of the Pawtucket Foundation. Karl has served in different capacities for various charitable organizations throughout Rhode Island including Chair of the LaSalle Academy Inaugural Scholarship Dinner. Karl has also served as an Admissions Advisor to Boston College where he graduated in 1977.
