KARL F. SHERRY, SIOR Partner
Karl F. Sherry, founding partner of the firm, has personally negotiated the sale and lease of millions of square feet of space since forming Hayes & Sherry Real Estate Services in 1990. As exclusive representative for several Fortune 500 companies, Mr. Sherry includes Fidelity Investments, UBS, Abbott Laboratories, J.P. Morgan, New York Life, Brown University, Merrill Lynch, Ernst & Young, Textron, Astrazeneca, Delta Dental of Rhode Island and Pitney Bowes among his clients.

Prior to forming Hayes & Sherry Real Estate Services, Mr. Sherry had extensive experience in sales originally with The Campbell Soup Company and later as a National Sales Manager with The A.T. Cross Company.

Recent lease transactions include: Bank of America in East Providence, 167,000 square feet; Fidelity Investments in Providence, 114,000 square feet; Citizens Bank in Cranston, 125,000 square feet; Fidelity Investments in Smithfield, 72,000 square feet; Delta Dental of Rhode Island, 31,000 square feet; UBS, 19,350 square feet; Merrill Lynch, 19,000 square feet; and Ernst & Young, 18,000 square feet.

Recent sales transactions include the $22.3 million sale of Providence Washington Plaza in Providence; $15 million sale of 60 Ship Street in Providence; $17.75 million sale of the Turks Head Building in Providence; $7.75 million sale of 170 Westminster Street in Providence; $6 million sale of 10 Charles Street in Providence; $7 million sale of 10 Dorrance Street in Providence; and the $6.5 million sale of the Colonial Crossing Shopping Center in Cumberland.

Mr. Sherry is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delta Dental of Rhode Island and the Altus Group, Inc.; he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pawtucket Boys & Girls Club; a Director of Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket; a member of the Greater Providence and Northern Rhode Island Chambers of Commerce; a member of the Board of Directors of In-Sight; and has served in different capacities for various charitable organizations throughout Rhode Island including Chair of the LaSalle Academy Inaugural Scholarship Dinner, and a Director of the Pawtucket Foundation. Mr. Sherry has also served as an admissions advisor to Boston College where he graduated in 1977.
